Description
Brenmiller Europe, based in Spain, develops and integrates bGen Thermal Energy Storage (TES) solutions for industrial heat decarbonisation. The patented bGen technology converts low-cost electricity from renewables or the grid into thermal energy stored in crushed rocks, delivering steam, hot air or thermal oil on demand for industrial processes up to 500 °C.
The modular system enables industrial electrification, operational flexibility and CO2 reduction while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. bGen TES can also integrate with CHP plants, photovoltaics and other renewable energy sources.
With commercial projects already operating in Europe, the USA, Brazil and Israel, bGen TES is a TRL 9 technology recognised by TIME Magazine (Best Inventions 2023 - Green Energy) and winner of the 2025 Edison Awards.
